Support for small teams doing big things.

Built from years of supporting equestrian businesses, where small teams operate with low-budget and no margin for error, High Horse Creative now also helps nonprofits and mission-driven organizations build clarity, systems, and confidence so they can grow and operate sustainably.

Experienced support, without the bells and whistles your budget doesn’t need.

I work with small teams to bring clarity, structure, and hands-on help when it matters most.

Whether you’re a barn owner trying to figure out how to advertise newly open stalls, or an executive director staring down a gala program that still isn’t written, you’re dealing with the same underlying problem: too much to do, not enough time, and no clean system to fall back on.

I’ve been in both worlds. I’ve helped equestrian businesses grow and adapt, and I’ve spent years inside nonprofit organizations managing the day-to-day realities that keep things moving. I know what it’s like to learn by trial and error, to build systems because you have to, and to figure things out while everything is still happening around you.

That’s the experience I bring into my work. I help small teams solve real problems, put better systems in place, and feel more confident running their work day to day.

How Can I Help?

Get Clear

When everything is important, it’s hard to know where to start. I help teams slow things down, untangle priorities, and decide what actually deserves attention right now.

This often looks like:

  • Clear content and messaging planning

  • Clarifying audience (demographic breakdowns, target market and ideal customer planning)

  • Planning and designing structure that makes the day-to-day simpler

  • Turning ideas into plans

Tell Your Story

Good content isn’t about posting more. It’s about telling your story in a way that actually means something to the people you’re trying to reach.

This can look like:

  • Creating meaningful, long-form content that reflects your work and values

  • Turning photos, videos, or memories into digital scrapbooks or keepsake-style content

  • Helping you capture moments, milestones, or stories you don’t want to lose

  • Making content that feels personal, thoughtful, and worth revisiting

Build What You Need

I help build simple systems that make the day-to-day easier to manage. That might be websites, workflows, or just better ways of keeping track of people, information, and tasks.

This might include:

  • Setting up CRMs, contact lists, or customer records

  • Making sure websites, forms, and intake actually work together

  • Creating templates and processes you don’t have to rethink every time

  • Automating things up so fewer details fall through the cracks

Support the Moments That Matter

Some projects just benefit from extra capacity and a steady hand. I step in during busy or important moments to help keep things moving smoothly.

This might look like:

  • Event or fundraiser support during especially full seasons

  • Additional help during transitions or periods of growth

  • Coordinating details across people, timelines, or teams

  • Helping move important projects forward when time is limited

The ways I support teams vary, but the goal is always the same: clarity, capacity, and confidence. Here’s how that support typically shows up:

Ways to Work Together

Most of my work is custom, because most teams don’t need the same kind of help at the same time. Instead of packages or retainers, we start with what’s actually going on and shape support around that.

PROJECT-BASED SUPPORT

This is a good fit when you know something needs attention, but don’t have the time or internal bandwidth to take it on.

That might look like stepping in to help with a website refresh, organizing systems or data that have gotten messy, supporting an event or program, or helping move a specific initiative across the finish line.

STRATEGY + HANDS ON SUPPORT

Sometimes the work isn’t just doing the thing, it’s figuring out what the thing should be in the first place.

In these cases, I work alongside your team to clarify priorities, build systems as we go, and help you understand how to manage what we’re creating. This is collaborative, practical, and intentionally designed so you’re not dependent on outside help long-term.

SHORT-TERM, FLEXIBLE SUPPORT

For busy seasons, transitions, or moments when a little extra capacity would make things easier, I offer flexible support without long-term commitments.

This is often used when hiring full-time doesn’t make sense, but the work still needs thoughtful attention and follow-through.

ARE WE A GOOD FIT?

This might be a great fit if you…

  • Run a small team where everyone wears multiple hats

  • Care about doing things thoughtfully, even when resources are limited

  • Want support and want to understand how things work

  • Value practical solutions over flashy ones

  • Are open to collaboration, feedback, and learning along the way

This might not be the best fit if you…

  • Are looking for full-time hours or a long-term role

  • Don’t have budget constraints and prefer big-agency convenience and structure

  • Aren’t looking to collaborate and want to be “hands off”

  • Are looking for a one-size-fits-all solution instead of something built around your business

My goal is to support your team in a way that’s sustainable, respectful of your budget, and leaves you stronger than when we started.

About Lyndsey

Most of my professional career has been spent working inside very small teams. Often three people or fewer. The kind of environments where everyone is responsible for a little bit of everything and there’s no room for wasted time or unnecessary complexity.

I’ve worked across equestrian businesses, startups, and nonprofit organizations, all with the same underlying reality. The work is important, the resources are limited, and things still need to get done. I understand the headaches that come with that kind of responsibility, and the benefits too. Small teams are scrappy, capable, and deeply invested in what they’re building, and I love working with them.

I’m not interested in changing how your organization works or adding layers you don’t need. My approach is shaped by what I’ve learned in those short-handed environments. Using practical tools and systems, thoughtful planning, and hands-on support to help teams get more done with less, without losing what makes their work matter to them in the first place.

That’s the lens I bring to every project, respect for your work, respect for the budget, and support that fits your business.

More About My Background

If this feels like a good fit, the next step is a simple conversation. We’ll talk through what’s going on, what kind of support would actually be helpful, and whether it makes sense to work together.
